Tank Moving/ Removal

$130.00

Relocating an aquarium requires careful planning, proper handling, and a structured approach to protect livestock, equipment, and your property.

Homebred Aquatics provides professional aquarium breakdown, transport, and reinstallation services for both freshwater and saltwater systems.

Whether you’re moving across town or simply removing a system from your space, we ensure the process is handled efficiently and responsibly.

Aquarium Moving Services

Aquarium moves are billed at $130 per hour with a two-hour minimum.

Final project cost depends on:

• Tank size
• Livestock volume
• System complexity (plumbing, sump systems, etc.)
• Distance of relocation
• Accessibility (stairs, tight spaces, etc.)

Move Service Includes:

• System breakdown and livestock stabilization
• Water removal and transport preparation
• Safe packing of livestock, coral, and plants
• Equipment disconnection and organization
• Tank transport coordination
• Reinstallation and system restart
• Plumbing and equipment reconnection
• Initial parameter stabilization guidance

Livestock safety and system stability are prioritized at every stage of the move.

Aquarium Removal Services

If you are decommissioning a system entirely, we offer full removal services including:

• Livestock relocation guidance (if applicable)
• Complete breakdown and drainage
• Equipment removal
• Plumbing disconnection
• Responsible disposal coordination

Removal projects are billed at the same hourly rate and are quoted based on tank size and accessibility.

Important Notes

• Fish, coral, and livestock purchases are not included.
• Additional water, containers, or specialty equipment required for large systems may be billed separately.
• Severely neglected systems may require additional time for stabilization prior to transport.

Our Approach

Aquarium moves are not simply about transporting glass — they involve managing living ecosystems. Proper preparation and structured execution reduce livestock stress, prevent equipment damage, and protect your investment.

If you’re planning a move or removal, contact us to schedule an evaluation and develop a safe, efficient plan.
